Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits, #1)No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.

Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

Exp. Pub: September 25, 2012 TODAY!!!

Shadows (Ashes Trilogy, #2)The Apocalypse does not end. The Changed will grow in numbers. The Spared may not survive.

Even before the EMPs brought down the world, Alex was on the run from the demons of her past and the monster living in her head. After the world was gone, she believed Rule could be a sanctuary for her and those she’d come to love.
But she was wrong.

Now Alex is in the fight of her life against the adults, who would use her, the survivors, who don’t trust her, and the Changed, who would eat her alive.

Grundgy and Gritty. If a zombie book hasn't gotten you to cringe in disgust and splatter your skin with goosebumps yet, this one will.

Exp. Pub: September 25, 2012 TOMORROW!!!

Dangerous to be together. Painful to be apart.

Savannah Colbert knows she broke up with Tristan Coleman for the right reasons. Most of all, to keep from killing him with her new vampire abilities. But try telling her heart. Now, lost in a sea of hostile Clann faces, Sav tries to come to terms with what she's becoming and what that means for her future. And that someone is doing their best to bully her into making a terrible mistake.

Tristan can't believe Sav won't even talk to him. If being apart is her decision, fine. Just don't expect him to honor it. But even as he prepares to fight for the girl he loves, forces beyond their control take them both in directions neither could have foreseen or prepared for.

A reckoning is coming...and not everyone will
survive.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Romeo and Juliet had it easy compared to these two. If you can't find it in your heart to root for Savannah and Tristen, me thinks it's made of stone.

Auracle by Gina Rosati - ARC Tour

Auracle
Gina Rosati
Pub: August 7, 2012

Auracle16 year old Anna Rogan has a secret she's only shared with her best friend, Rei; she can astrally project out of her body, allowing her spirit to explore the world and the far reaches of the universe.

When there's a fatal accident and her classmate Taylor takes over Anna's body, what was an exhilarating distraction from her repressive home life threatens to become a permanent state. Faced with a future trapped in another dimension, Anna turns to Rei for help. Now the two of them must find a way to get Anna back into her body and stop Taylor from accusing an innocent friend of murder. Together Anna and Rei form a plan but it doesn't take into account the deeper feelings that are beginning to grow between them.

Talk about a bad case of the body snatchers!

GAH! Proposal Etiquette People!

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...Howdy peeps. I'm super-uber (oh, yeah...I just went there) excited over how well my blog has taken off since it began a little over a year ago. I love reading, I love writing, and I love discovering new books. And I love reviewing for you guys. But lately my inbox has become swamped with requests and I feel myself bobbing up and down just trying to stay afloat. And the water has been murky my friends.

I have a few, let's call them suggestions, about how to ask me to review your book. Better yet, how NOT to ask me to review your book, cause those that misbehave get nada, kiss the concrete, nothing but a quickie with the delete button. Ya get my drift? Cool.

First and foremost, ADDRESS YOUR REVIEWER. Hello. <waves> My name is Devon, and just so we're clear, I'm a girl. Please don't address your request to Madam (I'm not sixty), Miss Dreamy (I'm not a stripper), Crazy Dream Lady (I have crazy dreams. I am by no means crazy), and certainly not Sir or Mister (did you not notice the blog is all pink and girly?). A simple Devon or Miss Ashley would be wonderful and will increase the odds of me continuing to read your email by 100%.

NEW!!! Dust Theme Song - Earn 75 Easy Entries for the Tour!

Just available!
EARN 75 MORE ENTRIES FOR THE DUST BLOG TOUR!

Click pic for the Official DUST tour page!

Here at the Crazy Dream blog, I'm all about introducing you to other authors, and over at my sister blog Dark Horse, we specifically expose you to Indie Authors. So I figured, why not help get a little more exposure for a band that definitely deserves a little more recognition!

Have you ever heard of VersaEmerge? To me, it's like a blend of Paramore and Evanescence. I love these guys, and seeing them on the Dust playlist running today over at Winged Persephone's reminded me of how their song Fixed At Zero is the perfect theme song for my dark pixie tale. We writers are always creating playlists to set the tone for our novels, so why not reward the band that supplies that mood? Take a minute to listen, then tell me your thoughts in the comment section, and earn
25 entries
right here, right now!

And oddly enough, band member Sierra Kusterbeck looks incredibly close to what I see in my head for Rosalie! I'm not sure I could find a better match! :)

I love this group. In fact, VersaEmerge's Redesign Me ended up being the theme song for my Immortal Archives novel Ordained because it was such a perfect match for Abby's relationship with the Order. :)

If you liked it too, check out my favorite VersaEmerge songs right here:

Refresh page if you see an ad.

Also, you can earn 25 more entries
for my prize packages by following both the band members on Twitter!

Okay...one more. :) Purchase the song Fixed at Zero on Amazon or iTunes and send me a nifty screen shot of the page confirming your purchase to my email address devonashleywritesATyahooDOTcom, and earn
another 25 entries
Seriously, it's only a 99 cent download. Easy Peasy!
(if you already own Fixed at Zero, buy another by the band and I'll honor your purchase!)
PSST! Have you tweeted lately for the September Madness Giveaway? 55 books up for grabs guys! Don't miss out!

Dark Frost by Jennifer Estep (ARC)

Dark Frost (Mythos Academy #3)
Jennifer Estep

Dark Frost (Mythos Academy, #3)I’ve seen so many freaky things since I started attending Mythos Academy last fall. I know I’m supposed to be a fearless warrior, but most of the time, I feel like I’m just waiting for the next Bad, Bad Thing to happen. Like someone trying to kill me—again.

Everyone at Mythos Academy knows me as Gwen Frost, the Gypsy girl who uses her psychometry magic to find lost objects—and who just may be dating Logan Quinn, the hottest guy in school. But I’m also the girl the Reapers of Chaos want dead in the worst way. The Reapers are the baddest of the bad, the people who murdered my mom. So why do they have it in for me?

It turns out my mom hid a powerful artifact called the Helheim Dagger before she died. Now, the Reapers will do anything to get it back. They think I know where the dagger is hidden, but this is one thing I can’t use my magic to find. All I do know is that the Reapers are coming for me—and I’m in for the fight of my life.

Oh, Logan. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I was ready to magically transport myself into this novel just to kick your @ss if you didn't get your shiz together. Thank God you finally did!

Thunderstruck by Kelly Libsack (ARC)

Kelly Libsack
Exp. Pub: September 6, 2012 TODAY!!!

Star quarterback with a full-ride to the University of Nebraska; owner of a cherry 1967 Camaro SS; and not bad looking to boot, are all things that should have helped eighteen-year-old Shane Krivich land a girlfriend, or at least squash his virginity. An anxiety monster he refers to as ‘Tsar,’ who wraps its constricting tentacles if he even thinks of touching a girl, and a best friend named Cam, that will not only sleep with anything with breasts, but try to sway any girl’s eye from Shane—it’s obvious why he hasn’t.

Most teenage boys would have snapped from all the years of pent up sexual oppression. Shane’s tried not to, but…when he starts hearing a voice in his head and losing moments of time, he believes he’s close, and that either a split personality is scratching to get through, or, his intrusive anxiety disorder has gained enough momentum to finally take him over, altering who he is and what he does….

When Shane wins an elusive trip for two to the Ol’ British Isle to visit Stonehenge, he takes his best friend and they embark on their first—and what may be their last—great adventure. While abroad, Shane meets two intriguing young women: Autumn, a beautiful, flight attendant; and Kellen, a mystifying physician’s assistant with whom he feels an eerie connection. In the ancient lure of England, not only may he finally get to know the true touch of a young woman, but possibly the sinister explanation of why his blackouts have increased and who the mysterious voice is that persists in his head. Is it psychological, or is there some type of ancient evil at play?

At the possibility of either, Shane is…THUNDERSTRUCK.

Eighteen years old and freshly graduated senior. Just won an all expenses paid trip to England. The opposite sex seemingly attached to your hips. Best road trip ever...except for the part where you're being taken over by an evil ancient spirit.

Demons by Heather Frost (ARC)

Demons
Heather Frost
Exp. Pub: September 11, 2012

Kate’s life is far from normal. She can see auras, her boyfriend is immortal, and her powers make her a target. But now that the Demon Lord is hunting her, things are about to go from dangerous to truly deadly. Packed with action, mind-blowing plot twists, and characters you can’t get enough of, this is a fast-paced, heart-pounding read from cover to cover.

To recap, Kate's a Seer that sees ribbons of color in our aura's and can tell what our emotions are, and her boyfriend Patrick is her immortal guardian. The Demon Lord would love to get his hands on Kate cause she's a rarity amongst the Seer world, and he seems to like collecting them regardless. The storyline for Demons is more focused on the guardians when they discover that these immortal beings are suddenly susceptible to a strange new virus that's killing them off. Being a Micorbiologist myself, I'm intrigued. :)

Redemption by Veronique Launier (ARC)

Veronique Launier
Exp. Pub.: September 8, 2012

Guillaume: For five hundred years I've existed as a gargoyle. Perched atop an old Montreal church, I've watched idly as humanity wanders by. With the witch Marguerite gone, there is no one left to protect, nothing to care about. I never planned to feel again. But then a girl released me from my stone restraints, allowing me to return as a seventeen-year-old human boy. I must find out all I can about this girl's power . . .

Aude: Getting attacked twice in as many days is strange in itself, but even stranger is the intriguing guy I keep running into. There's something so familiar about him, like a primal drum rhythm from my dreams. But spending time together only raises more questions--about my heritage, a native Mohawk prophecy . . . and an unearthly magic threatening our city.

Can time really heal all wounds? Probably...unless you're stuck in stone with nothing but your thoughts to haunt you for seventy years.

September Madness Giveaway! (INT)

Yay! It's September, the beginning of Autumn, my favorite season of the year. But poor Autumn. It doesn't get too much attention, does it? Winter is the season of giving and being with family, Spring is the beginning of new life, and Summer is when we all get to cut loose from school and be free! So why is Autumn my favorite? I have no idea! Maybe it's just my love of loving unloved things. Like the color orange. How many people love orange best? <raises hand>. Hmm....maybe that's why I love fall so much! I'm a jewel-toned lover and fall is filled with those!

Ahh...I feel like Meg Ryan in You've Got Mail, ready to sniff a bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils.

Well, maybe today I can make Autumn a little more popular with this fantastic giveaway! I asked several of my friends to join with me to create this September Madness Giveaway. It's time to go back to the ho-hum, get up early every day for school routine, but maybe a bunch of free books will make breezing through Autumn on our way to Winter all the better! Here's the lineup for this giveaway in alphabetical order:
